coralbay.tv to showcase many new features at NAB 2025
Leeds, UK, 11th March 2025 – Cloud playout specialist, coralbay.tv Ltd., announced today that the company will exhibit at the upcoming NAB 2025 show and is looking forward to demonstrating new features recently added to its coralPlay, coralMAM and coralFlow products.
To accommodate fast turnaround near live scenarios, the following functionality has been added:
- Manual record panels. To enable users to record live events at any time, it is now possible to select a live source and immediately start a crash record using a record panel. The recording will continue until the operator terminates the recording manually or until the duration specified in the panel before the commencement of the recording has been reached. The record panels also allow for a confidence playback to be configured from a spare pipeline so that the recording is played back a few seconds after the recording commences. The amount of lag from the commencement of the recording is configurable.
- Utilization of a video pipeline to review media. As well as streaming media over the network to review high-resolution media, users are now also able to allocate video pipelines to review media via the coralPlay preview tool. Operators can start to review media just a few seconds after the recording has commenced and can mark the IN/OUT points and segments whilst the recording is in progress.
- Play while record. It is now possible to schedule events that have not yet been recorded and for playback to commence a few seconds after the recording has started. Recordings can be initiated either by using a manual record panel or via a secondary record event in another playlist. During recordings the coralPlay preview tool can be used to review media and to mark up segments. Once the in and out points and segments are identified, this data is saved into the database and the SOMs and Durations in the playlists are automatically updated.
Other features added include:
- Manual control of secondary events. As well as scheduling secondary events to be triggered by time relative to the primary event to which they are attached, it is now possible to start secondary events manually via a control panel at any time. This feature is useful during live shows, where the control of secondary events such as graphics cannot be pre-scheduled.
- Integration with Viz Flowics. Viz Flowics provides cloud-based HTML5 graphics for the broadcast market. Via the Viz Flowics API, coralPlay can select graphics templates and render them in real-time. It is also possible to populate templates via information derived from the on-air playlists or via external feeds such as RSS. Adding support for Viz Flowics graphics means that our customers now have even more choices for the creation of graphics and can choose between Adobe Animate, Google Web Designer, Singular.Live and Viz Flowics.
coralbay.tv will be exhibiting on stand W.2524
