coralbay.tv selected by TBN UK
Leeds, UK, 1st September, 2022 – Cloud playout and workflow specialist coralbay.tv Ltd announced today that TBN UK has selected coralPlay to automate the playout of its UK channel.
TBN UK chose coralbay.tv after evaluating several products on the market. Mayomi Anuwe, Head of Master Control at TBN UK commented, “We were impressed with the architecture of coralPlay and its modern, user-friendly GUI. Its ability to run both on premises and in the cloud were key factors in our decision. This flexibility gives us many options for the future.”
coralPlay is a next-generation cloud native playout product that has been designed using microservices and is containerized using docker and deployed using kubernetes. It has been optimized to take advantage of the inherent elasticity, redundancy and flexibility that hosting the cloud offers, but can also be hosted on premises.
TBN UK opted to run the system on standard COTS hardware in their London facility. The system has main and backup core automation controllers and main and backup pipelines for redundancy. The system takes in Live SDI inputs and switches between clip playout and live via control of an Imagine Panacea router. The system is configured to output both NDI and h264 transport streams.
